New Corp Wreaking Havoc on Gas Mining Fleet

July 21st, 2010 GeneralJosh No comments

As the title says my new WormHole corp that I just joined a week or so ago took me on my first PvP adventure with them. It was a blast we had our scout in his Proteus looking for targets and finally he found us something juicy. It was about 3 WH jumps away from us and we sported a nice fleet filled with a Drake, Harbinger, Maller, Proteus, Lachesis, Onyx, and I think that was it. Once our scout had a warp in we all hustled in and our Onyx bubbled up the sky leaving them no room to escape. Once we were all in they were quickly destroyed. Among the dead were 2 Omens and a Moa plus 2 of the pods, the last pod got away and I am not sure how that happened. There was no resistance at all not even a few drones to attack us with. We scooped all the loot and waited around for awhile but there was only 1 pilot left that had n0t been podded and they only had a 5 man corp so they would not come back to play any. Over all it was quite fun, I did get the Kill Mail on one of the Omens I had the top damage on it also. The ships were about 33 mill average loss for them so it was quite fun. There was also about 20k m3 of gas they had been mining which we got a hauler for and got away with it, so that was a good run.

KM that I got, the rest you can find on the corp or alliance board.

Hulkageddon

Just looking at the name makes you think something bad is going down for the miners and industrial players. This unfortunate time for the miners means alot of isk loss for them, but alot of fun for the griefers. Me being an average player does not usually par take in such events, but I figured I may as well when there was not much else going on. I logged on and joined the Hulkageddon chat, found a fleet, and there we were searching for Hulks. Our first attempt was fail due to a new scout, but that was alright because we quickly continued on and began to wreak havoc on the miner nation. One right after another they fell to our mighty destroyer fleet. We were able to take them down exceptionally well with our destroyers, this made me wonder why I would see fleets of Battle Ships go in to destroy one Hulk when a silly little destroyer fleet does the job. Oh well I guess they figure they will kill in style.

We ended up getting 4 Hulks total, a very nice night indeed. I started with 5.0 Security status but after the kills ended up with 2.1 :D

Favorite KM

The KM is bugged because of the damage amounts but it was a nice kill indeed.

GeneralJosh is in the House

July 20th, 2010 GeneralJosh 1 comment

Greetings Capsuleers, My name is GeneralJosh in the extensive EvE community. Through all the fun situations that occur there is never really a record kept for what goes on in the lives of a capsuleer, so I figured it might be fun to blog about current situations going on in the wonderful world of EvE. These blogs will hopefully be about the PvP side of Eve. Whether it be doing a smidgen of pirating or just normal PvP encounters I hope to share them all with you.

A little bio of myself to get us started. I have been all over the place in EvE  from highsec care bearing to WormHoles, The only place I have not extensively explored is Null sec space. Someday I hope to dive into that also, but for now I am holding up in a Wormhole.

My character has almost 10 mill Skill Points on him so far, so it is a good start of a pilot. As of now I am only trained in the Godly and Golden Amarr ship hulls. I figure I will try to perfect them a bit before moving onto another race.

I have of course made a few enemies in EvE, but I think the friends outweigh them.

That is all I will be sharing for this post. Hopefully more will be soon in coming.

Any questions and or comments just post them up.

EON Issue #020 – Published 2nd July 2010

PEOPLE AND PLANETS

Tyrannis is here, and with it the feature they are calling Planetary Interaction. Inside the latest E-ON we have a guide to understanding how to make the most from New Eden’s literal new landscape. …But, hang on, where have all the people gone who live on all those surfaces (perhaps not so many on those lava ones)? How are we supposed to be benevolent or tyrannical when there are no insignificant proles to sell cheap electronics to in order to keep them in line? We ask whether as an attempt to breath new life into old New Eden, Tyrannis was an opportunity missed, or one soon to be realized.

STELLAR COUNCIL MATTERS

Keeping with the theme of people in EVE, we look at the work of the CSM, the volunteer body of EVE players who are elected to give CCP a players’ perspective of EVE. It’s been more than two years since the first Council was sworn in, since which time our various representatives have canvassed and cajoled for important changes. We ask whether those changes have been significant enough and try to gauge the CSM from the view of those that might vote for them.

BIG SHIPS, BIG TESTFLIGHT

Motherships were once a ship to be left at home, but as the re-named and all-improved Supercarriers they have become one of EVE’s most important front-line vessels. Able to provide massive support, or deal vast amounts of anti-capital damage by deploying fighter-bombers, they are almost as versatile as they are massive. Which is why we devote a massive number of pages to fitting and flying them properly.

FREE POSTER*

Free with E-ON issue #020, we are giving away another ship poster; this time it’s the cruisers of the Gallente Federation that line up in a sexy pose. That’s right, never again will you have to rely on ‘show info’ to tell the difference between a Vigilant or a Deimos, as you can see how all the hulls line up by faction or tech level, together with handy fitting and hit point information so you know just what you’re up against.

*FREE for every subscriber (while stocks last). This poster is also available rolled on thicker stock.

Alliance Tournament VIII

June 6th, 2010 Issu 3 comments

I’ve been out of touch with Eve for so long I didn’t even know they had started or even whos competing.

I always love watching all the matches and seeing who takes the final win.

Good luck to all the teams.

Be sure to check the schedules and line-ups.

Playing again!

June 5th, 2010 Issu No comments

I have recently updated my computer, which means I am trying all the games I couldn’t even dream about playing.

Eve was one of those, before I had to play on ultra…low settings, but now I can easily run it with no problems.

I will be playing Eve again, hopefully I will find something cool to report on this website about.

Maybe I will make it more of a eve blog, or maybe I will reopen the killboards and forums store I once ran.

See you ingame, fly safe.
